City Council Records
The City Recorder attends all meetings of the City Council and keeps records of the proceedings. The minutes are transcribed and publicly posted on the City’s website on the Council Minutes page. The City Recorder also maintains the Council contact information, and disburses information to them such as meeting agendas, general information, and minutes of meetings.
The Recorder is responsible for maintaining current election information and coordinating and accepting applications from candidates seeking to run for public office within our municipality.
Special Event Request (Permit)
An event occurring out of the ordinary course of neighborhood functions (e.g. races, block parties, filming of movies, festivals, etc.), primarily for the purpose of entertainment or fundraising and attracting participtants and/or observers, must complete and submit a Special Event Request form to the City Recorder ten (10) days before any advertising of the event commences. The City Recorder will notify the applicant of approval or disapprovel within seven (7) calendar days. The City Recorder coordinates any special services requested for the event, such as law enforcement. You may download a Special Events Request form HERE.
Request for Government Records (GRAMA)
The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) was established by the State of Utah to set statutory standards in maintenance and handling of governmental records. Any citizen can make what is called a GRAMA request to any Utah government official or agency. You may download a GRAMA Request form here; complete it, pay any required fee, and submit to the Recorder’s office for processing.
