Vote by Mail Election - How it works
The election will be a vote by mail election. We have contracted with Salt Lake County to conduct the election. Every eligible active voter will be mailed a ballot at least three weeks prior to Election Day. An active voter is a voter that has voted at least once in the last four years.

Ballots are not forwarded. However, if a ballot is returned as "undeliveralbe" with a forwarding address, within Salt Lake County, the Salt Lake County Clerk's Election Division will spoil the returned ballot, update the address, and send a new ballot for their new precinct.

The Salt Lake County Election Division will mail ballots weekly to newly registered voters or to those voters who have moved. Ballots will be mailed daily the week prior to Election Day.

Early Voting:
In-office voting is offered at the Salt Lake County Election Division, 2001 S. State St., October 9 through November 6, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
Early Voting is October 25 through November 3. To see a list of the early voting locations, their days and hours of operation, click HERE.

Vote Centers on Election Day: There will be one Vote Center in South Salt Lake on Election Day. That will be at the Columbus Center, 2531 South 400 East. Any voter can go to any Vote Center in Salt Lake County to vote. For a complete list of the Vote Centers click HERE.

On election day beginning at 8:00 p.m. you can go to the Salt Lake County Elections Division website for election results.
